Hemisphere : Witch Hat Atelier Five Seasons Zine is a for-profit fanzine that aims to show the enchanting five seasons both in the world of Witch Hat Atelier and the Witch Hat characters reimagined in our world.Digital and physical versions of this zine will be available to purchase internationally and the physical zine will also be available to purchase in Comic Frontier 15 that will be held on September 24 and 25 2022 at Hall 10 Indonesia Convention Exhibition.All characters are from the manga series Witch Hat Atelier by Kamome Shirahama.

Application Requirements

1. Applicants must be over 18 or have the guardian’s permission for applicants below the age of 18.2. For page artists, three illustrations examples must be fully colored finished pieces with background (ranging from simple to detailed background). Portfolio is optional!3. For merch Artists, three merch examples. Portfolio is optional!4. For Writers, Writer Application should include:
a. Three samples are required, between 2-3k words each
b. At least one sample should be a complete work; other samples can be chapters or pieces of longer works. We’re looking for complete writing, not outlines or first drafts.
c. A portfolio is optional!5. Witch Hat Atelier examples are encouraged but not required.6. Please only submit SFW examples and/or portfolio only.
7. For merch artist application please include examples of your past merch design.
8. Applicants must have a Discord account, if not, please consider making one because our main form of communication is through a Discord server.

Artists Requirements

Page Artists are required to draw a full colored illustration with background with a minimum of 2 characters (contributor is allowed to add more than 2 characters)
Merch Artists are required to design 1 keychain and 1 sticker set of their assigned season.

Writers Requirements

Writers will be required to complete:
One fanfic in English, not exceeding 2500 words.
All works should have a title, with any content warnings listed below it. Though, there should be absolutely no content that includes NSFW, incest, romantic relationships between adults and minors, explicit/violent content, etc. Avoid writing anything that you couldn’t see happening in the source material.
Fanfics must use American English spelling and punctuation ( ex. ‘color’ instead of ‘colour,’ using double quotes for dialogue, etc). If you have any questions on this, Mod Rye can assist.
The story must revolve around the given theme; each writer will be assigned a season for the base of their fanfic.

NSFW
Incest
Romantic relationships between adults and minors
Explicit / violent content
Other harmful content
2. Contributors must have Paypal to be able to receive compensation from the sales.
3. Applicants must be over 18 or have the guardian’s permission for applicants below the age of 18.
4. Be kind and respectful towards each other.

How many applicants will be accepted?
We are excited to accept 25 page artists excluding the mods, 5 merch artists, and 5 writers!What kind of merch will there be?
Keychain and Sticker set.Will this zine project be for-profit or non-profit?
This zine project will be for-profit!Do the applicants must be over 18 to join this zine?
Ideally, yes applicants must be over 18 to join this zine because this zine is for-profit so applicants must have a Paypal account to get compensation from the sales. But after the Mods discussed this matter, the Mods allows applicants under 18 as long as we have the guardian’s permission and a way for them to receive the compensation via Paypal.What compensation will the contributors get?
All contributors will be rewarded with an evenly divided profit from the sale + a full digital bundle of the zine. If our budget allows, all contributors will be rewarded with the full physical bundle of the zine.Can traditional artists apply?
We allow traditional artists to apply as page artists as long as high quality scan of the artwork is possible!
For merch artists, we are currently looking for digital artists only.Will contributors be allowed to share their submission in other places?
Contributors will have full ownership of their work, however, please refrain from posting your submission or WIPs of the submission anywhere until the sales period is over. Exclusive previews of your work can be posted during the pre-order period, but aside from that you must not share your work until the sales period is over.
